The Slovenian Tourist Board, Ljubljana Tourism, and international event
management firm William H. Coleman, Inc., are welcoming international
Leisure Travel “Buyers” and “Suppliers” to the 2nd annual New Europe
Travel Mart (NETM’12) at the Grand Hotel Union, April 25, 26, 27.
This annual tourism sales/business development event is designed to increase
leisure travel to the region that includes the Baltic to the Balkans, and is
increasingly referred to by Tourism Professionals as “New Europe.”
The New Europe Travel Mart (NETM)
features a unique three (3) day “pre-scheduled appointments” format that
the Coleman organization has successfully applied in other global tourism
destinations for almost forty (40) years. Business Sessions will enable
“Buyers” of Leisure Travel services from global markets to meet senior sales
and marketing executives representing “Supplier” organizations from the “New
Europe” region. The Coleman NETM system has already
pre-scheduled twenty minute (20) minute personal appointments in Supplier
booth/offices during the two (2) days of business sessions. Many of these
appointments are “Perfect Match” appointments when both Buyers and Suppliers
have requested to meet each other.
“Buyers” are “decision makers” from companies
and organizations that can “ contract and book” group, FIT, and special
interest travel products from markets in the USA, the United Kingdom,
Brazil, France, Denmark, India, Mexico, Qatar, Spain, and Switzerland. Each
of these Buyers made a significant financial investment in air fare and
registration fees to attend NETM’12, usually over US$1,200.
“Suppliers” are experienced sales executives
who are prepared to make commitments representing hotels, airlines, cruise
companies, receptive operators, car rental firms, attractions, resorts,
tourist boards, city and convention bureaus, and promotional organizations
from Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland,
Serbia, Lithuania, and Montenegro.
Buyers arrange and pay for their air
transportation, plus pay a US$175 Registration Fee. Buyer Registration
includes three (3) nights’ single room accommodations at the Grand Hotel
Union, round-trip airport transfers, all business sessions with
pre-scheduled appointments, all official hosted social functions, and ground
transportation.
Suppliers pay a US$975 (950 Euro’s) that
include a 2.5m X 2m booth/office with table, 4 chairs, sign, and electrical
connection; all business sessions including pre-scheduled appointments with
Buyers; all official hosted social functions; round-trip airport transfers;
ground transportation; and special discounted hotel rates at the Grand Hotel
Union. Suppliers were discouraged from building elaborate stand/displays
since the Registration Fees include everything they need for their
pre-scheduled appointments.
One of the important reasons Ljubljana,
Slovenia was selected as this year’s venue was the strong support NETM
received from the Slovenian Tourist Board, and Ljubljana Tourism.
Maja Pak, Director of the Slovenian Tourism Board, stated: “We are pleased
to join with our Ljubljana Travel Industry colleagues to host this
outstanding group of tourism professionals. We believe this will help
everyone to not only promote Slovenia, but also help focus International
Tourism Buyers’ attention on ‘New Europe.’ We are confident these next few
days will be a productive and enjoyable experience.”
Barbara Vajda, Managing Director of Ljubljana
Tourism, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to welcome these
Tourism Professionals to personally experience all that Ljubljana has to
offer. This is a very special place, and we are looking forward to sharing
it with these special visitors.”
Irma Coleman, President & CEO of William H.
Coleman, Inc. said: “We are very pleased that so many dedicated and
professional Buyers and Suppliers have made the investments in time and
money to attend NETM’12. There are no “Hosted Buyers” at
NETM, and every Leisure Travel Buyer that is here has made a
significant financial investment to get to Ljubljana. They are very
interested in meeting the Suppliers from Slovenia and “New Europe,” and they
mean business.”
NETM’12 Hosts and Partners
include the Slovenian Tourist Board, Ljubljana Tourism, the Grand Hotel nion,
Delta Air Lines, KLM, Air France, Alitalia, and Adria Airways.
